Don't have on the road picture yet, but harness is installed. Relay box came from 94 3000gt and wiring was donated by a 2008 corvette. New ceramic plugs. Last picture is the halogen vs cibie with h4 bulb(a step higher power)

Thought the motor was cooked. Ran completely out of coolant for a few miles. Seem to have recovered. Bought a new rad. Old one was leaking too much. Transmission cooler lines were really stuck, but after some heat was able to spin the nut without twisting the line.

Core is 17 x 28 1/4 on replacement, and 17x28 3/4 on original. Rad in the car was 3 rows, replacement is a 4 row. Shroud needs to be trimmed as it does not fit between the tanks any more

Interesting. That's really close in size to my '73, which I recently found out is the same size as the short radiator used in the 70's squarebody. I measured about 18" tall, but the actual core size at the tubes is probably closer to 17".

Overall is 18 5/8 x 33 and I believe it also cross references to trucks as well. And supposedly fit until 77 on chevelle(last year of the model)

Alternator died on the last out of town drive. It got tired being buzzed at high rpm for extended period. Need to get od transmission going. Ended up getting a newer internal regulator style alternator as a replacement.

Finally had some time to wire in the alternator. Indicator lamp originally is activated by external voltage regulator. Had to run other side of the bulb to switched 12v instead of original ground. Internal voltage regulated alternator grounds one side of the bulb to indicate no charge.

Steering wheel kept getting sticky, so took it off and thrown an old grant wheel on there. Will try washing the original few more times and see if it stops releasing the sticky things, then could throw it back. Or just get a gm horn button and leave this one on there

I just recently tried this Zep cleaner on a 4-spoke wheel and it did a great job of removing the sticky. Very easily too. I haven't tried it on other wheels yet.

Try brake cleaner, but just do a test spot first. It will either lift the stick or ... make it worse.

Finish with a polymer like ArmorAll .. or better.

I found Meguires and Mothers Vinyl and leather cleaner conditioner works great for getting rid of the sticky and leaving it feeling nice and clean without it being oily or slippery feeling.

Thanks for ideas. I prefer the original steering wheel, and grant does not line up straight either

Need to take care of the door. But for now new door handle, and a hose spacer for button to work better.
