Read a few threads on this before I bought the shaft, now I've noticed the differences. This is for a '73 with tilt. It's got the splined column shaft. After getting the jeep shaft in the mail, it has a "D" upper borgeson joint. Looked at the column I stole from the '89 V3500 and it's got a "D" shaft. It's a tilt also. So, having skimmed over numerous threads AGAIN, this issue isn't addressed.......so I have a few options. 1, is to adapt another borgeson joint to the shaft that has the correct spline to mate to the '73 column. 2, swap the '89 colunn into the '73, but that isn't a direct swap, wiring, high beam switch, and I'd bet more obstacles. 3, just look for another shaft??, which would be probably best, but have no idea where. Anybody with some shortcuts to the cleanest path please help.
