This seems to be some kind of thrust adjustment screw for the motor shaft, pops right out:

Here is the driven gear the wiper arm linkage bolts too. In the second pic you can see the cam built into the gear that signals the switch for the wiper park position:

Cool stuff, dude. I always love seeing how things work. I've got an older wiper motor in my garage, maybe I'll cut that one open too. It's got an internal (but broken) washer pump.
