Good Morning,

I want to put a new stereo in my 1984 Sierra. The air duct is in the way and I'm having trouble seeing how it is attached with my stupid bifocals. The youtube videos I've seen make it look like it should just pull out, but it seems pretty secure. Can anybody tell me how the air duct is attached? I really need to get a pair of readers/cheaters so I can see better in situations like that!

Thank you,
John in WI

If it's the one on the drivers side under the steering column there is one screw on the lower center panel. Remove the panel and screw. Then gently pull down in the center of the duct. It will bend enough to detach.

Screw is the chrome one in the center of the picture.
