Do i have to have one of those? I live in mass, so the winters here dont get too cold, usually 20F is close to as low as it gets. Could i just let it warm up for a long time and not have any winter front? Wont be traveling at more than 40 on those days.
I hate the way they look, theyre just ugly so id just love to not have to have one

That's right on the border line area of should I or not. if its 20 during the day what is it at night the same ?

It would probably be fine with out but any colder and you probably would want to do something.

Yeah, like MO says. Among other things, if the water jacket doesn't come up to temp, you get little heat and the defrost won't be warm enough to clear the windshield.

It's only during the coldest part of the winter, when the utilitarian, "I'm ready for anything" look is cool.

Exactly you definitely need to get the engine up to temp and keep it there.

Well whatever, i still dont like the look of it at all, ill just leave it be for now and then when the times comes to do something about it ill do it then
