That's pretty sweet. Looks like factory venting. It looks as if the A/C box venting for under the dash mounts separate from the existing heat/defrost system ducting.

I love how the controls are built into the left vent, that is pretty trick. That is a fairly good price too. Looks like a project to install.

I am guessing yiu would uave to cut holes in the dash for the vents? I never saw a non factory ac dash cover, I don't kniw if the holes are there already and covered with tril or not.

To be able to look at the installation instructions fir this kit would answer a lot of questions.

Some non A/C trucks had dash vents and but most did not. The right two can be added by replacing the trim as the dash and pad already have provisions for the vents, the glove box is A/C specific as well. And of course the gauge bezel can be replaced with one that has the vents. It's very difficult to add factory A/C as the cabs are different.

On mine anyway, they aren't there. I guess you could get a dash over that is made for a/c and make it work easy enough. But cutting up a non-a/c dash cover is a losing battle.

if is has the vents in the dash tim, it is 100% a factory AC dash cover, regardless of what the truck has. all dashes have the AC vent holes, just non-AC trucks have a trim piece without the vents cut into it. there are no trucks without AC with heater ducts exiting through the face of the dash pad.

That's hilarious...Our family had a 1978 Silverado with dash vents but no A/C and I found 3 trucks in salvage auctions this week with dash vents and no A/C.

Makes sense. You may not have needed a/c, but want to be able to put in on VENT and let in fresh air from outside.

I also had to adjust the striker out a little to make it shut nice without slamming it, it is adjustable.

You might have to scrounge junkyards and look on Craigslist and just get all the pieces one by one. A new evaporator, accumulator, compressor, lines and condenser would be best anyway. Then you would just need - depending on what you are missing - A/C box, under dash pieces, any missing brackets, cables, HVAC controls
