Two of my trucks 1 a 3speed saginaw the other a 700r4. I'm thinking of some transmission swaps. I'm thinking t5s are going to be more plentiful in the bone yards and thinking that would be the easiest swap because im thinking the t5 and the 700r4 are the same length and tailspline. The A833 I think the gm version is A440 but I think the only snags on this are going to be availabilty and I think they are about 4 inches longer than a 700r4. FWIW 1 truck is just a very mild 307, the other is a TBI 350 with a torque cam and a qjet. Work trucks not hotrods, looking for the deeper 1st gear and the O.D.
