I installed a new fuel pump in my 86 GMC today. That was fun! I need a coupler/adapter to go between the fuel pump and the metal line. Can some one tell me the thread size of the male end on the line and female threads on the pump. Thanks in advance!

The female end on the pump must be clocked just enough to prevent the threads on male end of the metal line going to the carburetor to start threading. A coupler should give that extra space need to meet both ends. Thanks in advance.

Mechanical fuel pump to carb fitting is usual 5/8 18 inverted flare.

Loosen it at the carb end then hook it to the pump, then start tightening both.
