Change the front. Leave that rear end alone, you’ll just have to get 8 lug hubs for the front axle

Verify gearing front/rear. Then depending on budget and desired results, either proceed with hub/gear change in the front or offer the rear up for a trade and make couple hundred dollars by putting it back to stock.

check the gears int both and decide which ones are better for you then swap out the undesired gear/axle for one with the right ratio/hubs.

Also is this a half ton or 3/4 ton? Personally I would keep the FF it probably has a lower gear ratio in it, which may be what you want. Depends what you’re doing with it, all you need to make sure you do is match the gear ratios between the two axles. If the ratio is different, even a little bit then yes, you will hurt drivetrain components.

1. Make sure gear ratios are the same in each axle
2. Get a new hub
3. Might have to swap yokes(might not either)
