I've been wanting to do a 89-91 suburban grille swap on my 82 c10. I need new headlights and a whole grille anyway so i thought I would go ahead and start looking for the parts. But.... What exactly is required to do this conversion?

Thanks

Its my understanding that you need the grill/radiator support as well.

Also im not sure about the headlight harness. If you have the single you will have to rewire to the dual set up. Im not sure what is involved in that.

I was thinking you had to swap the support but wasn't sure. Does anyone have a photo of the right radiator support? I'd like to get an idea of which one to look for.

I have the dual headlights so it would be a simple wiring job.

I would find a 89 tp 91 blazer suburban or crew cab with the grill you want and take all the parts from it.

core support is a straight up swap but the wiring plug is different.

you can just cut of the plug and swap it with yours the marker light on the 89 nose has two wires when your 82 has one you can just put the two together and hook them to the one.

its an easy swap

I like the gmc grill better than the chevy grill

tis is my 82 blazer with a 86 body I done the swap to it and a 85 I have

and a pic of my 90 jimmy to show the gmc grill

Core Support and I think the valance too. get the wiring too and it's easily adapted your current harness.

yea you need the bottom valance. I did swap on my 81 k30. you may want to change bumper to. If yours is a 82 it should have turn lights in bumper and they don't look right with a mini quad front

I plan on swapping mine to Mini Quad Grill, and swapping to an 81 bumper but I'll install this cheap set of lights I got on sale for $10.99 in the bumper turn signal holes. Reviews say they're good lights if you add sealer to them from letting them get wet. Being behind the bumper, I'll coat the bitches with silicone and noone will see the redneckery. Same lights are also available in Amber for Fog. I'm going with the clear for wide angle illumination.
