Dammit, I can't find the pic now. I invited the guy here from FB, hopefully he'll show up. He was putting the Electronic Digital Heat/AC controller in his Crew Cab 4x4.

I'm not 100% positive it was from a GMT400 truck or maybe another model GM Vehicle. As soon as I can get more info from him, and hopefully find the pics, I'll post'em.

I invited him here and to do a Tech Write Up, we'll see if it happens.

Those electronic controllers are a big reason I don't own a newer truck. I'm fine with vacuum and a cable, plus it's nice being able to choose where the air blows out at all times.

I don't like them either and why I prefer the 95-99 in GMT400 body style as well as a couple other things, but it would still be cool for an updated unit in a square.

I was looking at 1991-96 Buick Roadmasters as they are roughly the same size.

That might have been what this was too. I figured you'd know. It looked similar to what I was used to in my 93's and 94, but I couldn't tell for sure if he was going to cut the dash or not, cuz it looked like it fit and was more rectangular than Square like the GMT 400 Unit. When I sent him a message to come here, I told him about you being here and liked to do later model retrofits from other GM cars, like power antennas, compass temp mirrors, intermitent wipers and such. Figured you 2 would hit it off.

Electronic units in the GMT400 series SUCKED! They always failed and or the buttons failed or got sticky and never worked right. The 95 version is a version you don't want as its different than the 96+ years as well if you you went that route.

I prefer the setup in the trucks now..

Haven't had a single problem with my 1989 and it's the original unit, everything still works like new.
