I have had it happen to me. Any application that has the divorced coil on the rear of the intake and in front of the distributor is susceptible.

You aren't going far or long enough to promote vapor lock. You need to determine if you have spark and fuel when it happens.
Eliminating the tank and lines to the pump is a good first start.

When it was hot out my truck would stumble and stall within a few miles. The fuel system was a bit of a cobbled mess though once it got into the engine compartment. I think the OP cut out because he didn’t have a definitive answer though. Time will tell I guess.
