Are you talking Majic or Valspar? The Valspar is much better, but my Tractor Supply quit carrying it. I have a gallon of red Majic, I sprayed a little, it was thin I didn't like it.

I did my jeep in the Valspar. That stuff is great if you can find it. I tried that Majik brand they carry now on the benches I redid for my barn, and hated it. Took for damn ever to cure and dry.

I'm sure since our TSC is new they only carry majic same as our local magic mart lol. I'm still undecided on it. I know you can buy the valspar on amazon and actually thought of doing my whole car in a red in that stuff.

The majic says to only use 2 coats and to use clear if you want but not to wet sand and buff so that's a big red flag for me.

I had heard the majic might take forever to dry I usually use rustoleum oil based enamel but thought of trying something new since that other stuff uses a hardner and reducer.

The firewall can take it's time no big deal, but I need the frame to dry in a few days or so that way I can move it around and work on it.

I vastly prefer Rustoleum on the frames and underbelly stuff I do.

Interesting, the black I used was definitely too thick. Must be poor quality control.

And now that it's been mentioned, I remember it taking forever to cure too.

I thinned mine and used hardener.

sigh, now my front subframe has a rotted hole in it. I might be able to chop a chunk out and get some flat steel to put in and try to weld it up or maybe I can find aother not sure yet.

I found one somewhat local in louisa ky about an hr and 15 minutes one way from me, guy only wants 200 and has all susp. which would be good, but I don't have that kinda cash now, and not sure if his aint rusted anywheres either. mine looked fine until i flipped it over. if I had tha cash I'd ask him to either flip it and get pics, or go with a hammer and see for myself if it were solid. I'd have alot of extras then, control arms, coil springs, steering box, linkage etc.

guys from the south don't know the struggle with rust lol. Well some but not quite as bad as what we get here.

I got the global west solid bushing set for the Camaro, came with bolts and all. That rusted spot doesn't look too bad. Check by the steering box bolts too, the Camaro had a bunch of stuff built up inside there and there's a small hole because of it.

I want to get some solid bushings for the control arms since everyone swears to not use poly on bushings. I just hate the price like 100 a set or so for only uppers or only lowers. I wouldn't mind if it were 100 for complete upper and lower, because poly complete set is like 75.

I remember seeing those holes when we got it on the trailer. I know my steering box bolts one is ate up kinda thin in the middle nothing terrible but enough I want to change it. I saw a good sized wasp nest in the pass. side and a chewed up paper plate so I know rodents had to be living in the frame at some point.

I can't do or get any of that stuff here in this hick town we don't have a powder coating place, chrome shop anything. I can't even find a mobile or sand blasting buisness
