75 C10 Lower Kit Suggest 4/5

Hi All,

New today here.

I am trying to lower my 16 year old's c10 1975. What is a good reasonable kit that does not have to do c notch?

Would like to lower rear 4-5" and front 4".

What do you think for a rear kit 5" and cut front springs 2" to make for 4"?

If I lower this much, do I need to replace shocks? Are shocks different length when lowering this much?

Was considering air shocks in back for adjustment.

you can run a flip kit in the rear for 5" drop. no need to c notch with this. will need different shocks or shock extender brackets.
if 5" is too much for you, you could do a 2'' front leaf spring hanger and a 2" rear shackle for total of 4"
front- don't cut the springs.... buy a drop spindle. most are 2.5'' or 3'' depending on company.
this will give the truck a very popular nice looking stance.

I know what has been popular is a level low look. However, we currently have a slight rake stock and would like to keep a 1" or so rake.

Anyone have a link or recommendation to a reasonably priced kit? A 4/5 would likely be good. If we did an air shock in the back, we could adjust rake.

I used the Western Chassis flip kit and CPP drop spindles, with some new GM 3/4 ton springs and cut one ring off .

X2....don't cut the springs and install drop spindles and hangers in back along with a flip kit and replacement shocks

was a good way to go.
Use Drop spindles on front as mentioned and shock lengths are different

because spindles keep the geometry right springs change it.

you can buy the axle flip kit brackets for like 35-50 by themselves on ebay, now they don't ome with new u bolts, and getting those is a very good idea. I don't see the need for new top plates.

You can buy the spindles and then use stock coils and if you need more drop you can swap them for like 1 inch drop ones or you can trim them a bit. I've heard like 3 inch or so drop springs ride super stiff or flop around from being short, but that's all tales, I have no proof to back that up.

As mentioned you might want new shocks. In back you might get the shock relocations brackets, again ebay, I saw some with the flip kit brackets for like 90. Doing so you could use an air shock most likely. the front well doing the spindle won't really require shorter shocks, as it just moves the wheel up, but cutting coils or going with short ones will.
