I wish he would come around a little more often. I would ask him if he has some better pics of his rear end set up, with the four link. I need better pics and can't find none.

Been busy but anyways I have the front components installed I am still waiting on my steering column then after thats in I will figure what I need foe u joints. I still need toorder the front coilovers but the ride height is what you see in the pics its like 4'' off the ground from the k member. I would have been done with this but I complelety shifted the to do list. I have been fitting some new billet hinges off a 72. I liked the billet hinges and no one offered them for the 73 so i had to chop it up.

here are a few pics of my ongoin battle with these billet hinges. I have to report that i have 3 failld attempts but i am getting closer, not much room for error or the geometry will not work like when opened the bottom of the hood hits the fire wall insufficient heigt clearance but if i raise the hinge when closed its not level with fenders .... goes on

So Mr Clean what are you looking for I might have a few more pics

If you had better pics of the placement of the bars. Everything I have read, it said to use the short bars on the bottom, and the long bars on top for travel. I saw from your pics you used the long bars on the bottom, witch makes more sense to me, it's don't need to travel very much, it's not a 4X4. I also noticed on you short bars, you have them on the axle housing, at an angle, that doesn't make them bind? Any extra pics you have of the rear end and the four link set up would be helpful.

One other thing, the new cross member you have for your front end, will it clear a Big Block pan, the reason I ask I want to go with with the new steering, with coil overs in front, like the back. I just didn't know if a Big Block will clear the pan, with the raised cross member.

It depends on what 4 link u have theres a few variations of it, mine is a triangulated 4 link from ridetech. I dont know where you got that info but the long ones defenetly go on the bottom short on top. Short bars go in at an angle because its a triangulated 4 link no binding its design to be that way. depending how long the top bars where ever thay land is where they go some install them on the axle in my case they landed on the pumkin so thats were i put them. Note my housing is all steel ford 9 inch you dont want to weld on a pumkin if its cast .
about the cross member im not sure if it wil clear a BB il check up on that. but my new cross member actually sits lower thatn the stock one by like 3'' the drop is incorporated already into the cross member no need for drop spindles
