Hey guys just got this truck and really have no idea how bad or good the shape is under the hood. Can you guys tell me what I have? Is the fuel filter inline or is it in the carb?

In the second pic you have two spark plug wires laying on the exhaust manifold. That's not good. If they show burn marks I'd replace them. The voltage well leak to the closest ground.

Sent from the dust in front of you!

Thank you! So just stick them straight up? Is the fuel filter in the carb or is it in line?

I would hunt down a full length steel fuel line from the wreckers for safety reasons.

Thanks! I tried this but I think I did it wrong there was no filter, or maybe I only took off the front part.

That 90 fitting threads into that fitting in the pic then that into the carb. You will need a 1" wrench to open it. Sometimes guys don't put filters in there cause they think they are improving performance lol which is fine if they have installed an inline filter but bad if they have not.

Is this where the filter is located?

Be careful when reinstalling the 1" fitting back into the carb. It is very easy to strip the threads on the carb body so just use your fingers to thread it in and the wrench to cinch it tight. Not to tight though!

I also thought this was a fuel filter too? What is this? And is there a diagram of all the engine components under the hood? I cant find anything like that online. Or manual.
