Hey, so i tore into my brakes on my 79 cus i know they havn't been working. It has a 1973 14bff with the 11" drum and i swear its missing parts. There should be a break bar right?

But, I doubt the link Chengny put up here is much help. It might be, being that he's to the pads. I did a write up on a forum once on how to do brakes on a Full Floater Rear End and had plenty of pics showing all the parts including hubs, seals, springs and all.

Good Ole TMC pricks !!! They don't do old trucks there much and you're treated like **** if ....... uhhhhhhhhhh nevermind. Kinda why I didn't stick around there long after I took them about 70 people in 3 days AFTER hitting them up FIRST, asking if we'd fit in with our older junk. No, not so much !!! So I deleted most of it due to their little pissy pic limit and ***** staff. BTW, not all are, just some of the higher ups, and the mods that were got voted out.

We could really use some good write ups on brake repairs for these trucks.

Kapdin, there should be a molded *** on the end of the cable that slips into a keyhole slot on the lever under the drum. I had a long post written up for this and must have got distracted and never hit the post button.
