4L80e won't shift out of 1st when in 4-lo

Any ideas? It will go up to 3k rpm and will still stay in 1st when selector is in D or OD. Haven't tried other positions yet, do you have to shift manually or is something not right? Engine (350 tbi) tranny and t-case (241) are all stock, axles are not tho - they're 4.10 gears with FF 14 bolt rear and 10 bolt front. Tranny behaves perfectly when t-case is in high.

There is a switch on the transfer case that tells the computer when in low range. Possible it might be an issue.

Seems to ring a bell although im not sure. Except whats the need to be in 4 low and go fast ?

Don't want to go fast but it might be nice to go more than 3 mph without taking it out of low. 4.10s + 2.72 low ratio = pretty dang low.

I'll check the switch - thanks for the info
