I think it would be awesome to have a K5 or K30 SRW with a fresh 292 and SM465.

I built a 292 to replace an Iron Duke in a 19' bowrider years ago, and every 305/350 powered boat I've had/been in since I wish got up on plane like that 292. It sipped gas w/ a Q-jet on it also....however it was from a 350 and took a while to get jetted right. Mercruiser offered this motor for a few years so a marine 4bbl intake, and marine exhaust were available....and cheaper than buying two exh manifolds if I had done a SBC swap.

I remember mudding years ago in an old f250 w/ 351w 4sp 36 swampers, and getting passed in this huge bog by what turned out to be a box stock 250 K5 w/ a 3sp on 31's. :D

That's awesome. :)

That 250 should do just fine with the right gears with those 35s. the idea is to get the gearing right, so the drivetrain thinks its still on stock tires.

31 x 10.50/15? Hell yes. What you want for it? Maybe I can trade ya something. I don't get out of town much though. I'll keep it in mind. Maybe we can meet half way. Where ya out of? Matter of fact, could you use a diamond plated tool box? With coffin lid?

I'll knock the honey comb out, lol. I am sure they are long gone, been down to freezing here a few times.

I got another company we deal with right down the street from him. They told me he can go there and pickup the box and leave tie tire rim. We send a truck back and forth everyday. Nice to have connections & IOU's sometimes. :D
