Yup, heads to block is all the same pattern, its just the intake and valve covers which are different. I recently put 906's on a 355 that i worked for more lift.
(these heads are on a mid 70's block)

And that's what I thought
But I would need new brackets for the alternator

Lol, thats the tube from the lifter lube.

And im not so sure that your alt bracket wouldnt work. I had an aftermarket intake on an engine and the bracket worked, i just slit the hole longer where it bolts to the intake.

Well I think the hole for the bottom bolt is moved
I'll just look into it eventually
