I have a 350 Chevy non original (73 Cali camaro) holley 4 barrel(model4150/4776-4) it does have a cam mild I would say but I have no idea any specs I have no power on take off it’s a real dog I could probably run faster ( 30yrs.ago lol) and it’s not like it’s great on the back end either. Bought truck a year ago just started messing with it. The truck sat for a period of time in a pole barn. So I have changed the plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and coil. I checked compression 4 cylinders 120 psi 4cylinders 125psi dead cold motor. So I’m thinking timing, vac.leak, carb checking in that order am I missing anything?

Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Have you checked / reset timing?
Found all the vacuum leaks?
Changed the main fuel filter and cleaned the little bronze ones at the carb if it has them?

You may have a loss of power on low rpm with a mild cam,,, But Im thinking the big thing is how long it has been sitting if it has good oil press. then I would run it for a while before i put much money into it. ell You might put big bucks into it and all new parts and at the end of the day it might never run better.

It's a 350 in a heavy truck. Lower your expectations.

I wonder with what is this motor paired with? Auto or manual? What rear end and wheel size? Maybe the motor is fine but it's the matter of low stall converter and tall gearing not allowing the motor to put the torque down when taking off?
