2006 z71 6.0

Looking at buying a 2006 suburban z71 for the drive train. Buyer states it’s a 6.0. Was that an lq4 or lq9 in that vehicle?

Z71's were half ton only and 5.3L only. To get the 6.0L, you had to have a 3/4 ton.

Far as I know, the only way to get a 6.0 in a 6-lug rig, was a Yukon Denali, a Silverado SS, or a Silverado with the VortecMax option.

It will be stamped on the block if 6.0, but probably a 5.3 in that model.
6.0 in a 3/4 ton will be a LQ4. LQ9's are in the some Denali's, Silverado SS and Escalade. My LQ9 came from a 2004 Escalade. You can see my build thread in my sig.

Also lq9 tend to be coupled with 4l65, while lq4 trucks had 4l80e
