2 WD to 4 WD swap

Need help on a swap I have a 2 WD 84 Scottsdale I want to swap to a 4 WD and my friend is giving me the tranny the case and all the axles for cheap I have control arms up front now I know I take those out but will my axle bolt right up to the front end with no problems and then I ddrop my tranny out and bolt up the new one with case then the back will bolt right up to put the axles in is it that easy as it seems or is it hard I'm not frame swapping so don't even tell me about it

Without listing off the massive amout of things you need to do to make this swap I will say you would be better off finding a 4x4 truck or frame and swap the body. You will be money and time ahead in the end. I'm not saying it can't be done but It's not worth it.
