I feel like there should be a 1 ton only thread? Anyone agree or is that against the rules?

I think due the the fact there aren't that many of us on the forum with 1-tons it's grouped with the 3/4 tons as there is a lot of crossover info. But I agree, if you are trying to research info on 1-tons it would be easier if it was separate.

In 1988 when the body style for the C/K pickup changed, Crew cabs, Suburbans, and Blazers changed their codes to R/V for 2WD/4WD respectively.
1987 was the first year for the R/V series of GM trucks.

Everything I've ever read indicated that all 87's were either R or V series, no C/K's at all. Of course, this is per GM not Autozone etc.

I've still never got used to the R/V names. I'm still in the habit of calling them all C/K XX.

My Blazer is usually listed as a “V10”, it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
