Hi,

Any advice is appreciated! I would like to replace the automatic shift lever on my 1987 V10. It works well, just has some rust on the chrome that will not come off. Is removal as simple as removing the pin at the base of the shift lever? Are replacements available or will I need to have my lever rechromed?

Yep, knock the pin out and it slides right out. Be gentle, the column ears can be fragile.

There are for sure aftermarket replacements, they should have factory style, check on lmc or similar websites.
