Hello all!
I am working on a 1986 K10 short bed pickup. It has stock size tires which I believe are 31". Would any
one know what the biggest tires are that would fit in the wheel wells without any modifications ? The stock
tire size always looked small but if I go bigger I want to make sure that there wouldn't be any turning
or rubbing issues.

Thanks

Some people report having been able to get up to a (narrow) 35” tire on stock wheels, I’d say a (narrow) 33” is the safe bet.

Those running boards may affect what fits since they hang lower than the fender and the tire moves slightly rearward when the suspension is compressed.

Here is my stock height 84 K3500 with 285/75-16 BFG MT. 33” tall and clear with real tire chains. I trimmed the fender and stepped the running boards. Since 2005, many snowy winters with chains all the way around.
