1986 gmc sierra classic c2500 aldl location

I just removed the smog control and now the check engine light is on. I'm having trouble finding the aldl to check the codes to figure out why the check engine light is on. Where should it be?

not sure about the earlier years, but on my 1990 it is below the dash to the right of the e brake release
