Good morning to all,

I have a 1984 Silverado K10 that I have had since 1988. Prior to that, my Dad owned it and had bought it new from the local dealer. At the time of his passing, I kind of took over the vehicle and have had it ever since. The vehicle was purchased in Northern Utah as new, subsequently, it has accompanied us on moves to southern California, back to Utah, Nashville, TN, southern Florida and now in the Phoenix area of Arizona, (most of those moves were done via car hauler, not driven). The vehicle currently has just under 28K actual miles. This is now our only vehicle as we are retired and don't need the newest fanciest vehicle on the block

anymore.

Right now, I'm dealing with tracking down and repairing a small engine oil leak, and replacing the tires, (not worn out, but way past the DOT recommendation for age)

Subsequently, I want to remove the cab high topper from the back, and replace it with a tonneau cover of some type. (so the cab high cover is for sale)

At some point, I am interested in swapping in a LS engine.

Welcome!

Maybe put that top in the backyard for a while. You might want to put it back on. They're pretty useful and they really help shade the back cab window.

Nice bed seating btw. ;)

That’s an awesome truck. I love the fact that your dad bought it new and now you have it. If you have a child, please pass it along to them some day if you feel they will appreciate it.

I have a 64 C10 that my great grandfather bought new in my home town. When he passed, my grandad got it and drove it until he passed. Then my granny gave it to me.
I have 2 sons and a daughter and one of them will get it some day and pass it along to their kids.
I can’t tell you the pride I feel when I drive my truck, knowing it has been in our family its whole life.. And folks in my town still remember my grandad driving it and ask me about it.

I haven’t seen a camper like that with the seating/bedding in it. That’s pretty handy!
