1978 hood stripes

78 factory hood stripes. Can anyone tell me the proper width/dimensions on the two stripes on each side of the hood for a 1978 Jimmy? Bonus question - What colours would they have been from the factory, for a truck with dark brown main colour, and white top, sides and hood ?

If @AuroraGirl was still posting, she could tell you measurements for sure. But sadly, she's been absent from here for a little while. If the '79 hood stripes are the same, I could give measurements at the front... but they must be different because they are 3 colors, not 2.

Yes, 79 had three stripes that almost filled the indentation on each side of the hood. 78 was a little different - I have the sales brochure, and some pictures of my fathers 78 Suburban from that era, but its hard to guess the exact dimensions, and offsets. I've got a 78 Jimmy en route to me with original paint, all the chrome and the factory stand up hood ornament. It's one solid colour, and its just begging to have the the full two tone treatment to really bring it out. I just want to try and do it the way it would have come from the factory.
