I am rebuilding a 1978 Chevy suburban and I was wondering if anyone out there has pulled out and rebuilt the ORIGINAL AC system. I am speaking of the whole thing from the heater core, the inside vents and all the wiring. I need to know how to re plumb the vacuum lines and if someone has schematics. Yes, I know the new replacement systems from Vintage Air are wonderful....but they are a huge cost and I don't have that kind of cash. Anyone with knowledge out there would be greatly appreciated.
