Well guys im thinking about selling the willys
i really dont want to but my 1982 is my daily driver
the reason i want to sell the jeep well the motor in my white truck i built with 100 bucks
And the lower end is getting bad and i need something to get to college in
so i thought about it and i have a 350 vortec
I thought about this combo

292/480 Lunati Bracket Master 2
Vortec Heads (Get Valve Guides Shaved For Cam)
Flat Top Pistons Bored (.030 over)
Noisy Gear Drive
2500 Stall
3.42 Rear End From a Van

The motor has 154k On it But i want a new motor

And im getting a 1977 4x4 Longbed Chevy
Id love to keep both
Just have to see how things go

Ohhhhhhhhh, that would be sad. But, you do what you gotta do. Getting that education does need to be your first priority. So if its gotta go, its going for good reason and you should have no regrets even though, later years down the road, you'll wish you did something different.

Get rid of the Jeep, build a motor for that truck. Take pictures.

How far do you travel to school/work? If its not that far that you are not concerned of mpg, and the wife had a DD that is farily good on mpg to make your family main going to grandma's house vehicle, then consider a good used motor in your truck so its up and running, and keep the Jeep too.

I boght a used long block out of a 75 malibu for $100. A guy had bought the whole car for $500 for the crossmember, motor mounts, engine brackets, trans, flywheel etc to put a crate 350 in a Jaguar. He had the running long block left over and sold it to me on CL. I had all intnent of using that motor in one of my truck, knowing it might smoke a bit at start up etc. My bro needed to borrow the motor for his El Co. Transfered his brackets, starter etc to it, amd beem drovomg it since. It uses a quart of oil between 5000 miles oil changes, so figure, it used a quart every 2500 miles. He said he's actually getting better mpg with that used motor too than he did with the old motor. Point is, keep your eye open, you can find a decent used motor for $100-$300 if youre quick to respond on CL.

If your heart aint in it, you should let it go to someone who will do it justice.
