Crazy isn’t it ! They must’ve drove it home from the dealer and “Put it in storage” for 42 Years

I don't know if there is a way, but if the admin could attach all those photos somewhere here it would be a great reference.

2 things.

If I was rich, I'd buy that and drive that just to spite the guy that stored it.

:p

Thing 2 - wonder how many rubber pieces need replacing after all that time with so little use.

OK -3 things.

Brakes replaced ? Why ?

Did they rust/freeze up ?

Kind of back to point 2 ..

Damn good looking truck, though!

:waytogo:

so my question is......when did they hook up the speedometer back in the day? After the sell? Sorry but I don't believe it...if anything the speedometer has been tampered with on a truely garage kept vehicle that was bought brand new.

Where was it built, where is it now? See what I mean?

It’s all stated on the auction site and supporting information. It clearly explains how the truck was stored when new by the dealer himself. Where is it now? Well obviously being sold at auction by its owner/seller. The speedometer has never been disengaged, it’s only been trailered. I’ve posted many of these “Unicorn” Trucks on this forum. The auction site Bring a Trailer often features vehicles like this, Some with even less miles. I personally own 2 pristine show winning 1984 GMC trucks.

Well the only problem I have with this is the gentleman says the rubber and brakes have not been replaced. When in the description of the auction it says the tires have been replaced, and so have the brakes. Sounds like to me this guy with 45 years experience, doesn't know (1) what he's looking at, or (2) how to read.

Says nothing about the tires having been replaced, just having a pre-2000 date code and the Firestone Transport 500 Wide Ovals would have been an original tire for a square.

I do agree about the brakes, unless he means the rotors and drums and not friction and hardware.
