1987 V10 SWB W/5.7TBI/700R4. Has A/C
So I’ve owned this truck almost a year and only today noticed that each of the blades on the cooling fan have a nick in them. For a second I had a flashback to
the 90s and thought to myself I could just pull that fan off and use a hammer to bang those out but then I remembered these trucks are collectors items now.
Anyway, the fan looks to be the original one, 5 blade, and I’m sure the clutch is too. The fan shroud is original and in good shape, and the radiator was replaced right before I got the truck. I figure if I’m going to replace it I should upgrade what’s there.
Doing some research and it looks like what I need is a GM #14006712 fan and Hayden 2797 clutch. I can get the clutch off RockAuto but can’t find the fan anywhere. Anyone got one. Also, am I right that this fan is a direct bolt-in and will fit my stock shroud. If you’ve got one and if it’ll fit let me know how much with shipping to 77520. Thanks!
