7 quarts? That seems like a lot, but it may take that much with a full drain and refill.

Not that I remember. I thought it was just a little less than 4 quarts.
My thoughts, too. I have drained and refilled the H052 and it takes about 4 quarts. Those are the predecessor of the 14 bolt FF.
