10 bolt rear end question

Hi, was wondering if someone could tell me what this line coming out of the top of my corp 10 rear end is? It is capped off at the moment. I originally thought is was a cable for a mechanical locker, but it feels more like a flexible hose. Any ideas?

And the 'cap' isn't a cap...it's to allow venting out but no water or debris in.

Needs to be bolted to the bottom of your bed floor

Ok thanks for the help guys. It was not bolted to the bed either but I will do that.
