yesterday i put an add on craigslist to trade my deer rifle for some 1 tons. one guy had called me so i went to try to make a deal. it turned out that his axles were a 3/4 ton set with a semi float rear. we couldnt make a trade but the guy ended up buying the rifle for 600 bucks. before i left he called me back into his garage and gave a number to a friend that had a set of 1 tons. long story short i ended up picking up a set of 1 tons with 4.56 gears a spool in back and an np205 for 450 bucks! what a steal!

So you're saying a 14b Full Floater, Dana 60 Front, and an NP205 for $450. Yes indeed, you sir are a fuggin thief. That easily could have been real close to 4x that price for all that.

I'd sell ONE of my deer rifles for $600 to be able to get that deal for $450 and still have $150 left over. I can buy another deer rifle, but it's very rare to see a deal like that on axles. It's my high cap handguns and AR, SKS and AK rifles I won't sell.

ya, normally i wouldnt sell my guns, but this one was a lemon, 7mm ultra mag remington 700. ammo was too expensive, and couldnt get it to group right. i still have my grandpas old winchester 94 30-30 thats a tack driver with cheapo federal blue box though.

You get rid of that Win94, you'd deserve to be shot. Hold onto that one for certain. Not even for 1 ton axles. I still say you did good. And that Remmy can be replaced with a .270 or 30.06. I don't shoot my 300 Win Mag much cuz it's so damn expensive now to shoot. I've got 2 30.06's and I want to get a Remmy .270 just for the purpose of ammo shortage if 30.06 isn't availalbe, cuz otherwise they are the same cost and with as many different weight grains and accelerators there are for 30.06, that's pretty much the universal hunting rifle that eveyone should have if they're are hunter. :hunter:
