Not when you can find used factory parts. I can buy a whole hub to hub from axle for $100 - $200. Just gotta keep your eyes open. And all you really need is spindles, backing plates or easier just to get knuckle out from a wrecking yard.
My biggest reason is to run 15in rims for the cheaper tires in the sizes I want. If I put my disk brake kit on the rear, I bet I can find some 15in 8 lugs wheels later on down the road.
