I have a 86 1/2 ton rear G80 differential and i would like to put it in the front of my 79 K20. Will this work or fit? I know what people say about it being weak and about having posi traction in the front, but 2 wheels is better than
on pulling. Thanks.

If the G80 came out of an 8.5" 10-bolt rear it should work. You mainly want to check your offset to the ring gear mounting flange from the closest end where your carrier bearing rides, and overall carrier width but I believe this should work.
