Rear main seal 75 - inline 6
Is it possible to replace the seal, without removing the engine and trans -just the guard? Is it a 2 piece seal and has anyone done it. I know on some of the older jeeps you could- not fun - but could.- 75-250-KY

Push Bars / Grille Guards
I'm like you - but just found one in a salvage yard - Pull-a Part - $30.00 and a little textured paint and it looks good. Pulled it from a 79 c-10 mines a 75 c-1o and I still had to play with spacers and bumper allignment to get the bolts to go through. Be prepared to curse -as nothing seems... -

dash removal.....
My 75 - just had like like 8TK said about 3-4 small 1/4" sheet metal screws and there are just tabs that hold it down - you just have to pull straight back. Did not have any spot welds- the tabs just slide in. You are referring to just the top pad - metal shell underneath correct? -

I stripped my 75 dashes foam and vinyl off- wire wheeled it - painted it and then recovered it with the black/gray speaker enclosure felt - did not turn out bad. Does take some time, but the result people seemed to like. A photo is in my album. My son noticed this on a McClaren F-1 photo and... -

That port injection is interesting. I've seen a couple of videos ( mainly cars w/inline 6"s) where they did a blow thru or draw thru turbo actually sounded really mean. Not sure about reliability though. Appreciate you guys chiming in - I thought the inline was dead a couple still out there......- 75-250-KY

That's rough - I'd like to replace my engine with an earlier in line 6- as mine has the horrible integrated head as well. Still running now though -the number 1 cylinder loads the plug every couple of weeks worn ring most likely possibly valve wear.- 75-250-KY

Thank god - I thought I was the only one that thinks the rims of today look like Sheeet! There is nothing appealing about them at all - yet even people in my age bracket have them on their vehicles. Old School rules - enough said.- 75-250-KY

OH I forgot - there was never any Service/ Check Engine light at anytime before or now - no warning something is not working other than it just stopping. Any other vehicle it's no problem accessing the schrader valve to check for fuel pressure -they have made these vans damn near impossible...- 75-250-KY

Weather conditions the day it happened- it poured the night before- horizontal rain ) high wind). When it started it kind of hesitated and stubbled but then seem to level out - I drove to the store and all seemed fine- I went back out and it started but was running like crap and then just died...- 75-250-KY

interior overhaul
How many bolts hold the metal part of the dash on - I see the ones at the top around the windshield - where were the others and quantity- trying to get a time line as to how long it will take. Could it be done in a weekend ?? Thanks ahead of time. -

OK - a few months ago - it just started dieing randomly , but would restart. I changed the battery and it seemed OK for a few months. What's the most dangerous tool in your shop?
Agree with the above - welder and cheater bars. Welding an exhaust system under the vehicle one day - hot amber burns through my sweat shirt ( it's one of those something feels hot moments) and I'm running around the driveway trying strip my clothes off- looked like I was being chased by a... -

I can't seem to find much on here about the engine in my truck. When I do a search under the areas - it just says no match found - no matter what configuration or decription that I use. Has anyone done any upgrades - remove Rochester carb for a Weber or 4 barrell set-up etc. Intergrated...- 75-250-KY
