Got a hydraulic bellhousing out of an '87 4.3/SM465 truck. Casting number is 15530202 with an HI over it. I want to put it in my '83 K10 and convert to a hydraulic clutch. It looks the same size as the bellhousing in my truck. Just want to make sure a 12" clutch will fit. A buddy of mine is...
Thanks guys.
I've been looking into hog hunting. Had a lot of buddies at Benning get into it. Seems super fun and there's a massive abundance of them in the training areas
Been awhile since I posted on here and thought I'd update. I never did put in a Detroit diesel in my truck due to cost and life in the military. Finally got my truck up and running with junkyard 350 out of a '79 1/2 ton. Drives much better than it ever did with the 6.2. Only downside is the gas...
Yes it does. Most powerful version puts out 140 hp to the 6.2s 130 and 315 lb-ft of torque to the 6.2s 240. I thought the 6.2 drove fine. 3-53 should be fine power wise and get better mileage. Also harder to kill.
My name's Danny. Have a 1983 K10 with 6.2L Diesel and an SM465
When I got it.
After mechanicals, lift, tires.
After rust repair and paint.
Blew up the 6.2 exactly 20,000 miles after getting it.
Want to swap in a 3-53T Detroit and a NV4500
