Thanks it's a little big for what I'm looking for but it's well made lol. Not sure where the guy before me got it or built it but it does have a big one on the rear to match

    Lift size?

Yeah I don't care to much for the bumper but I like the idea of having a winch (even tho the one on it is gutless) I would like to mount a hidden one on there. But the front doesn't ride bad it the back end bouncing up and down. I recently found that the shock bushings are gone. Now I just need...

    Lift size?

Possibly but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the sm465 in it. The transmission that came in it didn't come in very many and doesn't have any pulling power at all. I believe the shift pattern is: Reverse top left 1st is up 2nd is Directly down from 1st 3rd all the way up and right I believe...

    Lift size?

Yeah I forget about that, was your yours a auto or standard? The transmission in the diesel is shot and I can't find one to replace it so it might get to a nv4500 swap eventually

    Lift size?

OK thanks for the help, I don't plan on lowering the front just leveling the rear to the front with some better springs and shocks. I guess I can see how the 35x12.50s that are on it look, then go from there.

    Lift size?

Yeah I don't expect a new ride, I also have a 83 swb 6.2. The difference in the ride is night and day. I'm just saying it hurts my back to ride in it lol. Yeah I'm going with those because I've done a lot of reading on this site and seems most people are happy. possibly thought about lower...

    Lift size?

I bought a 86 k1500 about a month ago and the guy didn't know the lift size, I can't find anyway to find out what it is, pretty sure it's a rough country....maybe a 6inch? Has 35s on factory rims that don't rub with the winch bumper. It rides pretty rough, so Im about to purchase a set of ezride...

    86 Chevy no start help!

Thanks for the help, I believe the clutch/start switch, or clutch pedal position switch...whichever name you wanna call it shorted out and burnt up a wire. After running that jumper wire I couldn't get it to turn over, after bypassing the clutch switch it's been fine

    86 Chevy no start help!

Ok, today I tested a few things, I couldn't get power at the fusible link on the firewall. I ran a "jumper" wire from the starter to the wire that comes off the fusible link on the firewall that splits to alternator and into cab. Power to the dash was restored and everything works. But when I...

    86 Chevy no start help!

Yeah the battery is staying charged, I'm about to use the winch on the front to put it on the trailer. Appreciate the help...kinda aggravating buying it and 3 days later this happens, I know it's something small and simple just have to figure it out. I'm new on here how can I post pics up in...

    86 Chevy no start help!

Ok thanks I'm going to try to get my hands on a voltmeter this afternoon, I'm not good with electrical at all. You said it runs back to the alternator, no chance it could be bad causing a short? I changed the ignition cylinder, any other ways I can tell if it's the rod on the column?

    86 Chevy no start help!

Thanks, I remember when replacing the starter (troubleshooting) that it did have the one to two wires. I'll definitely check that out. So I can cut the fuse able link out and replace it with another one and I should be fine right? If that is the culprit....luckly it hasn't been to hacked on...

    86 Chevy no start help!

Where are the fuse links located that are common failures? I'm going to check the ones at the starter in a bit

    86 Chevy no start help!

I inspected those and they seem to be ok, I'm getting a volt meter tomorrow to check, I just find it odd that I'm only not getting power to the dash

    86 Chevy no start help!

86 chevy with the 305 and manual transmission I drove it to work with no issues, come back out and I have no power to the dash, radio, and air. But u have power to the cab light, headlights and tail lights. I've changed the starter, ignition cylinder, and checked to make sure the rod in column...
