    Frame & undercarriage advise!

Oh MAN!!! That is bad ass! I had to do a double take, lol, saw the 340 pie tin, but then couldn't reconcile the single valve cover and exhaust headers, then realized it's a leaning tower of power! The tried and true one and only Slant 6! I love it! She's a beauty! That must be a rare combo...

Thank you! I definitely will plan on using Fluid Film as you said being a daily driver for the kids especially.

'71 Dart Swinger? You ever been out to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, Ohio? I'm traditionally a Mopar guy, grew up with them. My first car in 1995 was a 69 Satellite, at the time my dad had a rotisserie restored 69 factory Hemi Charger, and my brother had a 71 383 Cuda. Spent my weekends in...

    Frame & undercarriage advise!

Good evening all, back again with more questions as I knew I would be! The boys and I were out again this weekend working on getting the undercarriage stripped off all of the running boards, lines and bracketry, etc., and next the tank will come down. I did go and get a cheap harbor freight...

    Frame & undercarriage advise!

This is great, I'm so glad I found this site and so many knowledgeable, helpful people! I've learned so much in such a short time! I think I'm going to take the advice of about everyone who posted and keep it simple. Pressure wash, de-grease, scrape and sand, and Ospho as needed, spray the...

That is crazy, so glad to be able to meet so many great and helpful people and some from so close to home! I've also spent a lot of time in McHenry and Island Lake, both great areas, I at least pass through them frequently.

    Frame & undercarriage advise!

It is indeed a small world, that's great! I know Grayslake well, spent and still spend a lot of time either there or passing through. I think I will break down and buy a sprayer. I do plan on pressure washing it, scraping and sanding, and Ospho as needed, and then spraying the body with paint as...

    Frame & undercarriage advise!

Hello All! I've been looking around and reading and there are a lot of good threads on the forum about this subject! SOOO many and SOOO many options that my head is about to explode! LOL. Anyway, to get down to specifics of my project, it is a '91 last year square body Suburban. Relatively...

I actually really lucked out. Went and talked to the police and they said as long as you get it out of there by the end of the weekend (last weekend) we’ll drop all of the fines and promise not to tow it. We just want it taken care of. So it really worked out!

Oh by the way, gave him the tidy sum of $300 for it! and the only rust is surface on the roof.

Hello all! Just lucked onto a great project, a 91 last year suburban! It doesn’t run, but is very solid and all there! I plan on working on it with my 2 sons ( my oldest is 14) and making it their first car! I’ve always wanted a square body and now we have one! I’ve been a mechanic in my younger...
