    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Are there different manufacturers of the retro radios or pretty much one manufacturer? I think I’ve seen Laguna and retro radio?

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

I may do this. Seems fairly simple and would at least give me the option to keep stock radio while getting some rear speakers

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

I want to keep the truck as stock as possible so I was trying to keep the radio and just add some rear speakers to it. Unfortunately I can’t find a harness for the rear speakers to connect to the radio.

Oh wow. I didn’t know these things existed. Definitely an option.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Yeah I’ve been thinking of going that route. Not sure at this point what I’ll do. I drive the truck infrequently so not sure it pays for me to upgrade the radio itself.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Yeah I will have to connect a speaker to it and see. It’ll be the only way to know for sure

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

From the 1977 Accessories Catalog, my radio is the second from the bottom.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Ill look at the build sheet but believe that’s the original radio to the truck. The weird thing is I can’t find another radio with those connections on the back. So looked at my dealers book from 1977 and these were the options for radio equipment:

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Looks like it does have the terminals for LR and RR and a ground right above the front speaker connection. I guess it would be in mono but at least it has the ability to push 2 rear speakers. Does anyone know what kind of harness connection I need get for that? Could I just wire directly to...

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Ok yeah the sound definitely doesn’t go away completely. So it must be tone control. Thank you for the insight. So Ilol take another pic of the back but it sounds like this radio probably can’t be used for multiple speakers

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

So that was part of my question. It has other terminals in the back and I was wondering if it can support rear speakers. If you look above the green and black wires there’s some more terminals.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

Thank you. So on this radio when I adjust the left outer ring it does adjust the sound. Is that the balance or fade? It definitely makes the speaker sound different. So sounds like this is a mono radio, but my question still is can the radio support rear speakers? Even if it’s mono?

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

You’re right, I should just say radio. I have no clue if it’s a “stereo”. The more I look at the back the more I feel like I can’t run rear speakers from it. I do t really want to switch out the radio so not sure what other options are available if I want to run rear speakers.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

I’ll get better pics of the stereo. I was wondering if it was capable of connecting more speakers to it since it looked to me from a diagram that it had the leads but they just were not hooked up.

    1977 C10 Rear speakers??

I have a 1977 C10 step side with original stereo. The truck has one speaker in the dash. I’m wanting to put some rear speakers in and need to see if the stereo can support it. I looked in the back and think that maybe there is a row above the green a black wires(dash speaker) that may be for...
