bye bye tow hooks. any suggestions?
Hey guys I have a 2003 chevy 1500 that I recently pulled the tow hooks out of the frame on. Any ideas on what to do. Thx- Franken Chevy

friend got stuck so i went to pull him out. got him out but at the cost of ripping one tow hook out of the frame. then i got stuck and he pulled me out at the cost of the other tow hook. still have them both, can i just weld them in? or what should i do or have done? thx- Franken Chevy

Yes motor is free. If you bolt it up and stick a screw driver it will turn the starter over. The true issue is that when you hit start button, you lose all power, do I possibly need another ground? Maybe because I have it grounded to the starter which has power it isnt truly grounded?- Franken Chevy

have a sbc 350 out of a 1978, it is bored to a 355, with a couple goodies on it. after running it the there day i noticed a little coolant pool on top of the intake. is this normal? the truck itself isn't put together right but the motor is. any help? thx- Franken Chevy

Yes it does spin. Im not sure because im not looking at it right now. I believe its positive, spliced into an old ignition wire, ignition wire to the starter, the positive from starter to battery, it may also be positive right to the starter, then positive from starter to battery, also I believe...- Franken Chevy

Is this for the guages or to start it? Check the cables for what? Make sure there is no short in them? Make sure there is enough resistance in them? We have power everywhere, until you hit the button. Once you hit the button you lose all power- Franken Chevy

My friend bought a "1986" square body that has been chopped a couple times. The frame is an unknown year. The motor is a 1978 350 bored to a 355, and the cab is off of a 1986 that was a 2wd 305, rear axle is a dana 80 with a 4:35 ratio, the front I believe is a 12 bolt with 4:35's as well...- Franken Chevy

2003 chevy trailer light hook-up

Would be stock exit, 3:73 ratio, tires are 265 but may be 285, truck normaly doesnt have much of a load , maybe a sled or dirt bike- Franken Chevy

Have an 03 chevy 1500 and the muffler is starting to rust out. Anyone ever use a thrush? Heard they are pretty much the same a a fm40 but for half the price. If you have used thrush before what was the cab drone like. Will just be replacing the muffler on my truck and it still has the stock...- Franken Chevy

spend 2.5 hrs under the ass end in 4 in of snow and re wired the tail lights and now i have running lights tail lights and blinkers!!! but i only had them for 20 min i hit a bump and blew my 30 amp fuse, but now i can't keep a fuse in it, every 30 amp i put in blew. Ok guys new problem. Radio is wired 100% percent correct I looked at it and ever had a shop look at it but for some reason the tail lights and radio dont work with head lights and cabin lights on.. Any more help? Thx- Franken Chevy
