    Heat riser exhaust valve

There is no egr anymore. The 4bbl intake I put on there has no egr provision. I don’t mean to be a pain but to be clear, if I supply vaccum to ,that vaccum canister for that heat riser, it pulls the heat riser valve open?

    Heat riser exhaust valve

So vaccum closes it. Alright. I can’t see or find how that valve looks with the flapper open . The reason I ask is, all the vaccum lines for all the emissions and such except vaccum advance was removed and I’ve been wondering if part of my rough idling could be partly caused by that

    Heat riser exhaust valve

The heater riser valve on the outlet of the passenger side manifold, does that open if manifold vaccum is applied to it? I know it gets a vaccum source through a coolant vaccum switch, just verifying my understanding of that vaccum circuit.

Truck is a 1980 c10. So, I could connect that to a switch controlling the hot to test if lock up works?

Can someone identify this wire and connector and inform me where it’s supposed to be connected??? I think it’s for the lock up torque converter but not real sure.

So now that I gotta chance to sit and do a lil typing, here’s a lil back story on the c10. As I’ve said previously, it’s a1980 c10 with a 305 v-8 , turbo 350c, 3.08 gears in a 10bolt. This truck is very basic. No a/c, had just a am radio that’s been upgraded to a pioneer single DIN and 6x9’s...

    Gauge ground location

Hey all. Working on my 1980 c10 and I have intermittent not working issue with the volts/water temp/oil pressure gauges. Fuel gauge does work. I’d like to check the ground but not sure where the darn thing is. I’ve already replaced the ground strap from cab to engine block, battery to block...

    Proper throttle/kick down bracket

Hello everyone, I have a 1980 c10 with a 305/th350c combo. It was originally a duel jet 2bbl setup but I have converted it to a factory quadrajet intake and carb. After swapping the w-jet on, I found that the throttle/lockdown cable bracket would no longer work so I went online and found a used...
