    Alternator charging too much?

    Hey, so ive got an 85 k10 with a 79 350 and i replaced my battery which i feel died prematurely with a new one and i noticed it seemed to be boiling over the battery acid. So I checked the idle voltage and its charging at 14.9v. It seems a bit high but do i need a new alternator?

    * SOLVED * the cork gaskets with the 2 rubber pieces sealed and fixed my problem. I cut the rear to fit and thought it was leaking but my new filter i just put on wasnt tight enough. Thanks for the help and ideas. Guess my set-up isnt meant for the blue 1-piece gaskets.

    Im leaning more towards needing the thinner front lip. I have the lip from a 4 piece gasket set. I might try to salvage my new fel pro and cut the front lip off. Then just make sure i rtv where it meets the new lip gasket.

    IT ended up being the ignition switch on the column was far enough towards the firewall to be activated by the rod. Atleast i know a lot more about my steering column and switches now.

    This is a tilt wheel. the old cylinder doesnt have the slot for the retaining bolt, so i bet they just tossed it.

    I installed a carb spacer and that gave me the clearance i needed. I put the geometry bracket on but im not sure the angles are right. Im adding 2 pictures. 1 at no throttle and the other WOT.

    While i installing the new cable the end that goes to the trans appears to have threads and doesnt want to easily slide in. Also lost what looked like a half quart of trans fluid when The old one was removed. Not sure if thats normal or if trans fluid was to high.

    My new cable arrived and when i removed the odld it leaked what seamed like half a quart trans oil which i didnt see in how to vids. The problem im having is the old cable fitting on the trans side is smooth and my new one seems threaded. Did i purchase the wrong cable?

    Working on a cart with summit but confused on which parts to add. Do ya'll need any more info? Thanks for the help this is my daily driver so im itchin to get goin. Ive tried manually adjusting the cable but each time the shifts didnt feel right so im not comfortable driving it.
