    Craziest antitheft idea yet.

I had someone trying to buy a custom front bumper from me while I was working at a bar. I refused and they thought they would just disable my truck by removing a couple of plug wires so they could steal it later when I left it. These old trucks will still run on 5 or 6 cylinders. As for...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

The problem with this logic is that the 2wd also has a narrower rear track width than the front. If they had used wider rear axles to match the front on 2wd it would have matched the front axle on 4wd. I have read all I could find discussing this and unless they were using axles from cars (they...

    POR 15 Hi Temp coating....Fail!

I feel the issue is that you didn't first burn off the original coating on the exhaust pipe before you applied the POR so once that heated up and off gassed it just flaked off the POR. Just my opinion but now i want to science it and find out.

How can I shield these electrical connections?

I have the exact same relay/fuse box and they are pretty weather proof. if you are worried about the attached terminal blocks you can just apply dielectric grease as others suggested but you will need to inspect regularly as some of it will dry out with high temps.

If it happened to have the rear speaker factory mounts, keep them. those have a market.

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

I would add that a K5 requires a notch with a axle flip. I had less than 2" clearance from the frame after removing the bump stops.

    LS Swap AC Location

Tejas is slow to respond as it is just two people and they are churning out as much product as they can to keep up with demand. He has all the instructions for using his mounts posted on his website and on Facebook and they explain all that will be needed to keep it in the low mount position. If...

    Secret Squirel Kill Switch Ideas

I have used the floor dimmer switch kill switch on a 1982 K5 I owned that I would drive topless most of the year. Had a newer model steering column with the dimmer there but no one noticed the additional switch. I also considered using the floor dimmer as originally wired and using the column...

Any such thing as a good Service Manual?

I bought a Factory Service Manual and the Factory assembly manual both on a DVD for about $40 on some auction website. I then used my office laser printer while i was working overnights and printed out all 2000 pages. Got them both in a old catalog stand in my garage and also on a older tablet i...

Double wall exhaust system, anybody do it ?

The other issue is the fact that the fuel is pressurized while passing the heat source. the pressure lowers the boiling point of the liquids and can cause vapor lock where a standard mechanical vacuum fuel pump would not. crap...i had that backwards....nevermind

    Another awesome accessory (BLUETOOTH)

Every one of these i have owned were not powerful enough to get a clear signal to my FM receiver. One of the pitfalls of living in a metro area with an overabundance of stations in the area i guess.
