Did you use the original type tube and fin condenser or a parallel type condenser?
I changed mine over to the parallel condenser type last year, because I couldn’t find an original type tube and fin. I also put 36 oz of 134 refrigerant. It was nice and cold but I noticed my high pressure side...
I bought an Optima Yellow top in 2013 for my 83 GMC and another Yellow top in 2015 for my 87 R20. Both still work perfectly, even with the 83 being parked for 85% of the year. I also bought an Optima Blue top deep cycle for my trailer winch in 2020. With that I keep a trickle charge on it with...
I’m glad you brought that up. If it’s on the TBI 454, it’s located on the lower left (drivers) front side of the engine block.
While working on my A/C system, I noticed the wires coming from the oil pressure sensor switch had bare spots and if they weren’t grounding out, I’m not sure how they...
Dave Welch who does their YouTube how to videos is a pretty good guy for tech questions. Just seems like the parts I have needed lately, they didn’t have.
Replaced my entire A/C system. It had all the original parts in prior with clakity sounding compressor blowing nothing but swampass air. Now it’s blowing ice cubes again.
I guess if I had to pick a grail truck, a 1978 K10 dealer prepared Sand Box Edition would be my choice. Every one ever sold had a different air brushed paint job with custom wheels and 33 inch tires.
That or an impact edition 1975 GMC 1/2 ton. Similar to a spirit of 76 truck
Here’s a sand box...
That’s exactly the reason. Today getting parts for my 1989 R3500 is hit and miss at the parts stores or online. Most of the time I end up with something for the C3500 of that same year. Most parts counter guys don’t know the difference.
Insure it’s not a leaking Schrader valve. It’ll hold vacuum for weeks as long as the gauge manifold is hooked to them. That would be a quick and easy fix if so.
1970 Datsun pickup. I learned to drive it when I was 11. Then it was passed down to me when I got my D.L. at 15. Also bought my first car that same year, a 69 Chevelle for 700.00.
The front are 245/60/14s, the rear are 275/60/15s. I bought the rear 15x8 rims with 4.75 in back space from wheel vintiques. I had 295/50/15 drag radials mounted for a short time.
Ok.

Na. That's close to Baton Rouge. I live about 15 miles from the Texas/Louisiana line in the south west corner of the state. Right above lake Charles just outside a town called DeRidder.
Here's some of my current past rides. I got a bunch of pics. Somebody shut me down if I get carried away.
Here we go oldest first to current.

Hold on, I got some more.
I hear ya. I have already started bringing them with me to the salvage yards and my oldest has helped pull parts. He seems to be interested so I'm going to run with it as long as I can. Oh, and no cell phones for them until they can pay for one and the account for themselves and are out from...
Hi fella's! Thanks for the welcome.
Yea, I've got some pics of my current project in the works. I'm still trying to figure out how to post them.
I just got this short bed 83 GMC from my paw-in-law back in November. He bought it new and decided to pass it down to my son's who are still 9 & 8...
