    Color match for blue interior

CheemsK1500, I had an auto paint supplier mix me a color match to the back side of a trim panel that never would have been sun fade. So I can paint but I‘m worried about the flexible parts not holding up I guess. Just seams odd all the parts are showing up this shade of blue? I’m missing...

Someone has to have ran into this issue before me? How did you handle restoring a blue interior.

    Color match for blue interior

Not implying LMC is at fault just want an accurate match if I can find it. Hoping someone has worked to match the factory shade.

    Color match for blue interior

Just opened the LMC belts I ordered and they are dark blue and nothing like the original light blue belts. Was there a dark blue interior option also in 73-81? The carpet I received is the correct light blue…

Best aftermarket gauges for Pro Flo?

I just finished adding Holley EFI gauges to my 77. These are CAN bus gauges and I’m guessing not compatible with your Pro flow but you could use any gauge manufacturer with your existing dash for the same affect.

    Color match for blue interior

I’m looking to repaint the plastic trim on my 1977 Cheyenne with blue interior. LMC only lists Colorbond-blue 37-8382. I ordered some but it’s not even close. The attached picture shows the original color in the middle. Left side is sun faded and the right side is the LMC color. has anyone found...

Lowering my 1977 Shortbed and found

RecklessWOT, Thanks for the clarification. I heard the term headache rack used incorrectly as a kid and never really thought about it... It's a sturdy rack that I will use very little on this truck other than long boards from time to time. I plan on fabricating a removeable front bumper rack...

1986 c10 Steering column. does it matter what trans you have? going from TH350 to 4L75e

Nasty, Im having the same issue with my swap the total travel range does not allow my 4l80 to hit 1st. I could adjust it to get first but can’t make park then. I relocated the linkage pivot on the frame and extended the rod but will need to make a small change to the rod length at the trans or...

Lowering my 1977 Shortbed and found

I finished my spring replacement and lowering this week. Used CCP Modular spindles with 2” drop springS and a axle flip in the back. Also picked up the headache rack for $100.

    Steering wheel inlay

Well not a perfect solution but much better than it was. I used some fake wood tape and trimmed with a razor knife. My choice of red oak was not as close a match as it could have been. I also added a leather rap.

Lowering my 1977 Shortbed and found

Thanks 1979 c20 I figured that was the case. I purchased the truck as a shell. Glad I never drove it that way. anyone have a recommendation for the replacement springs. I assume I will need to do a axle flip to match the CCP modular 2.5” drop springs and 2” drop coils I have on order.

Lowering my 1977 Shortbed and found

Well I’m almost done with the LS6.0/4l80 swap. I’m just waiting for the back ordered exhaust. Started looking at the height I wanted to lower it and found 4.5“ in front and 4” in the rear would be level and a height I like. That sounded like the rear was lower than normal already. So I started...

Any changes needed on a 4L80 build?

Thanks Matt. Sounds like the TransGo is a good choice for me. I did a shift kit on my first car some 40 years ago…. Damn time flies. Just a FYI I searched the PN on the case and it’s a ATK rebuilt unit with new TC.

Any changes needed on a 4L80 build?

I’m comfortable with disassembly of anything . Its the reassembly that sometimes is problematic . So both CK and Jake’s have the dual feed mod as part of the kit? Net result is increased trans longevity? I really don’t want a super hard shift under part throttle.

Any changes needed on a 4L80 build?

I just picked up a LS6.0 with a new/rebuilt 4L80 that will be going in my 1977 Short Fleet 2WD project. The trans appears to be new and maybe a GM replacement. I plan on adding a cam to the motor and running a 2800 stall with 4.11 gears. Other than running a good oil cooler does a 4L80 need...
