    Completely see your point, but I have confirmed the numbers on both frames. The 79 is no longer in the system, and the route i'm probably going with anyway, the frame and cab VIN's will match.

    very true, I was a collision reconstructionist for several years, there's definitely something to be said for modern safety features, especially when they're not used.

    If it's already titled, then no inspection is needed no matter the year. Just no smog on vehicles 75 and older

    Technically it could matter, but it's done all the time. You would run into trouble if your frame VIN was off a reported stolen vehicle or also if you were involved in a major injury/fatal crash and the vehicle is inspected by LE. You could incur liability and lack of vehicle malfunction...

    The big issue we Commiefornians face is any vehicle 1976 or newer has to adhere to the smog laws. If you register it as a "whatever" year newer than 76, I also believes it is no longer registered as a Chevy, but as a special construction title.

    I'm not concerned on the frame numbers matching, it's sort of irrelevant due to the VIN not belonging to a K series anyway. Which is why I found a 73-75 truck and it makes the swapping of VIN's around also irrelevant. Also, using the 73-75 as a "donor" title circumvents the need for a VIN...

    Thank you all for the input, it's much appreciated. I'll be pulling the body off the c20 soon, so I should be able to find my answer on the mounting points/holes etc for the front. Thanks again

My question is, can the front and rear axles from the K10 be put on the c20 without modifications, I know...
